Below are some Sanya-specific ideas for Mother’s Day. From new moms to older moms, or moms who just need time to relax, we’ve got you covered!
Is she a new mom?
Make this first Mother's Day extra special with a memento she can keep forever. We suggest a photo-shoot with Sanya-based photographer Krevetki Studio (WeChat Id: poceluikrevetki) to celebrate all she is.

If she's not comfortable in her own skin after labor, opt for making a craft with her in a special location, like her favorite beachside hotel where you can enjoy high tea. Our suggestions include Mandarin Oriental in Dadonghai or Capella at the Dempsey in Lingshui.
You could make these cute coasters. Use fingerprinting ink and a plastic layer over the top (instead of the spray varnish suggested in the link). The plastic layers we have in mind are the same ones that come on tables when you’re renting from a local Chinese landlord.
Any handprint project will do just fine as long as you prepare supplies in advance and head to a nice location.Don’t do this at home unless she specifically requests to stay home this Mother’s Day.
For the supplies, head to Walking Street and look around hardware stores or equip yourself with a translator and waimai. Jiayou!
Is she always around her children?
Give her a break with friends, some alone time or an activity that will help her unwind. Make sure she feels guilt-free indulging in whatever it is you get for her.

Treat her and her other mom friends by getting a dad's babysitting group together for all of the children at an indoor playground. Then let her enjoy time with her friends at their favorite restaurant or bar.
Has she been talking about building family relationships with her spouse or her kids?
Plan something that will build those relationships without stress.

Rent a private cabana at Atlantis Sanya for a fun day at the water park without having to fight for a spot and to keep all of your things and food with you. You’ll even have a staff member nearby who makes sure you’ve got what you need.

Or make a day at Mangrove Tree at their trampoline park, their indoor playground or at the bookstore in their mall building a ukulele.
Does she miss any of her older children?
Bug them a bit to make sure they don't forget to call her! Or go the extra mile and synchronize the time so she's on the beach or at a high point in the city for the call. That call will be quite memorable for mom and the grown child alike if she's able to share the beauty of Sanya with them.
For a high point, we suggest Hyatt Place Sanya City Center during cooler parts of the day at their pool bar or 1 Hotel in Haitang Bay at their rooftop bar.
Is she a mom?
Even if she has lost a child and has none currently on earth, it's important to give her genuine attention on this day meant to honor the special title of mother. Make sure to celebrate her this Sunday May 9th.
